Mithila live 24 is looking for a sharp, experienced Editor to lead daily news coverage and uphold our standards for accuracy, fairness and clarity. You will assign and edit stories, coach reporters and wire-desk writers, and make final publication decisions on breaking and enterprise coverage.
What you will do
- Edit 6–10 articles per day across politics, business, technology, sports and culture.
- Verify facts, sources and attribution before publication.
- Headline and rewrite copy for clarity, tone and house style.
- Coordinate with the automation desk to review AI-assisted drafts and held stories.
- Publish corrections promptly and maintain the editorial calendar.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of professional editing experience in a newsroom.
- Strong news judgment and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, digitally native environment.
- Excellent written English and familiarity with Indian current affairs.
- Experience mentoring reporters and managing deadlines.
