MITHILA — Eleven United States citizens of Indian origin have been reported missing following floods in Nepal during a trip to Kailash. The group of travellers vanished from the Ruswa Garhi immigration centre located in China amid the severe flood conditions affecting the wider region.
The missing party was being led by Anil Goyal, a US citizen originally from Delhi. Goyal was leading the group of 11 US citizens of Indian origin when they disappeared from the Chinese border facility at Ruswa Garhi during their journey.
The incident comes amid wider devastation and disruption caused by the Nepal floods. According to reports on the disaster, 88 Indian nationals have been successfully rescued, while 287 individuals are reportedly missing as operations continue in the affected areas.
