MITHILA Aam Aadmi Party leader Gurpreet Gopi was shot dead in Punjab’s Ferozepur on Saturday, August 29. The fatal shooting took place during the evening hours when four assailants travelling in a car launched an armed attack against the 45-year-old leader, identified as Singh, while he was on the move.

The incident occurred in the main bazaar of Mamdot located in Ferozepur. The four car-borne attackers stopped their vehicle in the main market area and got down before opening fire directly towards the car in which the 45-year-old AAP leader was travelling.

The gunfire directed at the vehicle in the Mamdot bazaar led to the death of Gurpreet Gopi on Saturday evening. The attack involved four assailants who had arrived at the Ferozepur market in a car to carry out the shooting against Singh.
